Leading Academic Change National Survey 2.0

In 2015, we co-led an initiative and survey with University of Maryland System’s William E. Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation, through a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to understand and analyze the landscape of leading academic change. No study of its kind has been conducted since. PAST PROJECTS

This study and subsequent paper illuminate the affect of innovation centers and centers for teaching and learning on academic transformation. Campuses across the nation were surveyed, making it the first research of its kind to validate the need for these innovation support structures.

This research identified emerging trends in high-quality digital courseware — a key tool for delivering education. The results of this environmental scan helped guide decisions and strategies to improve learning outcomes and degree completion.
