I founded Quantum Thinking to advise higher education leaders globally. My passion and track record is in improving student success, teaching and learning, faculty support, research and administration so more students can reach their dreams.

Over the course of my 30+ year career, I've been recognized as visionary and accomplished executive in scaling technology initiatives, programs, and businesses. My cross-sector experience spans across education technology, teaching and learning innovation, and research for higher education, K-12 and corporate learning.

Throughout my career, I've held several leadership positions. Most recently, I undertook the role of Global Education Lead for Zoom where I helped design the Zoom Summer Academy, which reached thousands of educators during the pandemic. I also served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Senior Fellow for Technology & Innovation for the Postsecondary Success Team for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Previously, I held positions as the as President, Global Solutions, Americas for Kaplan Ventures; SVP of Pearson Learning Solutions; and was the early stage Executive VP of Global Sales and Client Relations at Blackboard. I have led sales, marketing, and business development teams for PeopleSoft (Oracle), Datatel and SCT (Ellucian).

I share my expertise globally as a published writer and speaker on education technology, design thinking, and academic innovation and change.

    Jess Evans is an exemplary technology and strategy executive renowned for her exceptional leadership in digital transformation, business strategy, customer experience, and technology leadership. At Vanderbilt University, she served as Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor, managing a significant budget and leading large teams. Her tenure at Arizona State University as Deputy CIO & COO, and at Case Western Reserve University in various executive roles, highlights her progressive leadership skills and commitment to excellence.

    Before leading in higher education, Jess led technology teams across the banking, insurance, manufacturing, and consulting sectors. This eclectic industry experience provides Jess with a unique lens on how technology across multiple industry sectors can be applied, grown, and optimized. Her innovative approach has been recognized with awards like "Most Influential Women in Tech 2022", Top 100 Women in Technology 2021, and she holds a Ph.D. in Designing Sustainable Systems from Case Western Reserve University.

    Cynthia is a QuantumThinking Principal, Senior Marketing Strategist, and Communications Executive with extensive experience in building and delivering integrated marketing strategies and programs, corporate marketing plans, and demand generation programs that articulate a company’s value proposition in the marketplace.

    Adept at brand development and management, PR/media & social, creating communications programs, and conducting market research in the professional services, technology and higher education markets. Served as interim Director and Project Manager for the launch of Pearson LearningStudio, the online personalized learning platform of Pearson Learning Solutions. Served as senior market consultant and researcher for Kaplan Global Solutions in their project with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

    Susan E. Metros offers over thirty years of experience in higher education as an information and educational technology executive, an academic leader and a tenured professor in design and visual communication. She currently serves as an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC), executive career mentor, and information technology and academic innovation consultant.

    Susan has presented over 140 talks, seminars, and workshops and has authored over 50 refereed and invited publications on educational technology and online learning, leadership and mentoring, creativity and innovation, and multimedia literacy and design. Susan has served on numerous professional boards and was the 2017 recipient of the EDUCAUSE Leadership Award.
